Has anyone used the chrome bracket on a 273 (see link)? My engine is a 65 and I'm trying to figure out how to use them. Pic's if you have would be great.

Thanks 71 Dustar. I was putting the bracket at the front of the alternator which was causing it to move back against the head and not fitting right. I'll try it according to your set up.

I just installed mine today and ran into the same issue. With the early style water pump (outlet to the driver's side) I had to make a couple of spacers. It looks like the ones pictured above and is mounted the same, but I had to use spacers where the bracket attached to the water pump in order to keep everything inline! I will try to remember to get photos tomorrow.

aren't these the style bracets you can use the new higher output denso altenator with? I seen someone on here using the same ones with there denso alt., the denso is almost a bolt in altenator and you can use an external voltage regulator
