hello,

I have a 3 connection alternator,

1@ battery terminal 1/4-20 Stud

2@ field connections

does it matter which voltage regulator wires go to what field terminals

if I remember I have 1 blue, and 1 green

tony

It works either way.
Green is from a key switched ignition source, and the blue goes to the voltage regulator.
On my car the green is closest to the fender.

if I remember I have 1 blue, and 1 green tony[/QUOTE] in a '70 up flat reg/2 field terminal alt system, the blue is the switched 12V that is T'd from & feeds the reg and the green connects the reg side terminal to the other alt field terminal. As said You can put the blue and green on either of the alt field terminals, whichever way lets em lay the neatest.
