Alternator

My 1971 225 Valiant decided to toast the alternator. ugh!!
Actually the pulley split in half. Just age.
I looked on Advance Auto website.
They have a double pulley only available. The guy ordered and told me don't worry. Just use the rear slot on the pulley. I don't have air...
Just for reference. Is he right?? Mine is a single pulley.

Mine has an unused pulley on the front... and it works.
