I have Edelbrock 60779 alum heads 0n my 340. the problem is my alternator hits the head. I called Edelbrock and they said do not grind clearance on the head. Has anyone had this problem?
 
Stupid question, but are the pulleys square? Maybe it actually needs a small shim?
 
Pulleys are square. I cant go up or down past the head to get any adjustment.
 
CAn you clearance the alternator?

Or, can you shim the alternator and the drive pulleys?
 
I could shim the alternator out but they would not align with the ac and crank pulleys.
 

There is always away around these issues
