Aluminum Block 170 surfaces this weekend

There was a post in one of the regions this weekend about a stash of slant six parts.
In the tread there was a Offy intake, a bare 225 B Body Aluminum Block and a bare 170 Aluminum Block.
The tread was removed because of phone number and no price.
According to some folks on /6 org the seller has since sold the parts thru marketplace.
He also indicated that he sold a prototype 70ish aluminum head to someone in PA.

In all my 50+ slant six years have never seen a 170 Aluminum Block!
I knew they were building them in the late 50's for production along with the 225 Aluminum Block.
But I never thought I would ever see one.

Stuff is still out there!

Pretty much identical to the 1st gen 2.2 heads. Stan, My phone won't open those pics, & if I click on them I get "oops, We ran into a problem". Anybody else running into that?

When I was 14 I took a sledge hammer to an aluminum block 225 and beat the cylinders out of it to scrap it!!! I can still kick my own *** EVERY TIME I think about it.
