Am I measuring wrong?!

I went to measure my bolt pattern and measured across from center to center... I keep getting 4.25

I know we have either 5x4 or 5x4.5 so why the heck do i keep getting 5x4.25?!?!

Any feedback? Does the 4.25 mean its a 5x4 pattern?

Like the photo shows, its center to far tangent. But a 5x4.5 ends up 4.25ish center to center.

Thanks a bunch! I've been going crazy!! You guys made my week! LOL I have been measuring center to center... so I do have the 5x4.5 pattern, which made my week in itself.

I don't know if the previous owner swapped over... since It's a '70 and a 318 car... Or if it was like that from the factory since It is disk up front.

Previous owner would have switched that over. Front discs in 70 would be the 4 piston Kelsey Hayes setup which is 5x4".
