ya, the jumper wire is an easy test. Trailbeast is correct, if there is any voltage fluctuation in that blue regulator wire the regulator freaks out and bounces trying to control the voltage. i fought the same problem with mine and sure enough i tried the jumper and wow, no more jumping! Then i wired in a relay the way the pic i sent you and no more prob. Easy fix, and i think it helps the voltage reg survive longer. Good luck.
