I have the lower control arms removed so that I can clean them up, paint them and replace the bushings. After removing the bushing, can the "torsion bar socket" and "ear" come apart from the LCA?
Thanks,
C

Well ..... technically you can take them apart.

The "ear" and torsion bar socket on the LCA are captured by the two halves of the LCA which are riveted together. You could remove the rivets, separate the halves and remove the parts, but I would think it would be pretty tough getting it reassembled.

Hope that helps
