put a new but old motor in our dragster this last week.. its a temporary motor untill the new 395 is all finished...

365"
12.7.1
stock 360 crank
eagle rods
kb hyper pistons

baton chatter ported w2 oval port heads nothing to fancy
single plane mopar m1 intake
750 alky

306/310 660/670 solid roller

car is a 225" hardtail mike boss chassis
4.56 gear
power glide

1550 lbs with me in it

making some passes this friday.. im gonna guess somewhere in the 8.70 range

All of my data is for door cars, but if I extrapolate (a lot) I end up with an 8.49 at 146 MPH The MPH seems low, but maybe thats the point where hyper pistons break due to the RPM.

With that power and weight, you should be well into the 150's..... 33" tire? ... 7" converter? ... How far are you planning on spinning it?

7 inch converter stalls at 6200.. 33 inch tire.. shift at probably 7200-7400. Play with it and see what it likes.. rev limiter chip at 7800

This combo,is different. Running somebody's old digger, makes it nice. The lack of weight, brings the "detonation load" down on the K.B's. Subscribed....

Cool, reminds me of a C/ED i made some passes in back in the early 80's.

My guess, if everything works well.........8.60's @ 154.

Gonna be a fun ride regardless. Have fun & be safe. :thumleft:

Oh my gawd Rick. Didn't know you were that hardcore!

The motor was built in the early 90s and was ran in a 68 cuda for a few months then put on the shelf.. should be a fun ride.. hope she stays together.. :)
