I took my Swinger to have an alignment done yesterday, after all the new front end stuff got installed. The mechanic at the dealership (Hayes Chrysler in Lawrenceville, GA) is an expert on old Mopars, especially Darts. He did a great job on the alignment, working on it for several hours. He took the car back to balance the tires . . . that's when the bad news came. Two of my Crager's had cracks, and one is bent.
So . . . I ordered a new set today, OUCH! That was one expence I wasn't counting on. The tires have decent tread on them, but have un-even wear on them from being out of alignment and worn out bushings, so I am putting new rubber all around. At leas it should be a smooth ride now.
