gotta question guys.. my father and i relocated the springs inboard with the mopar kit.. after installation and puttin a few miles on the car, i noticed that the passenger side rear leaf spring is rubbing the gas tank. is anybody else having this problem? i lowered the gas tank and doesn't seem to be any adjustment really. i might have the straps in wrong ..not sure. are they supposed to fit in the grooves of the tank itself or outside of them..gotta car show this weekend and would like a little help fellas any comments on input would awsome..thanks nathan

I relocated my springs on my 72 Dart under the frame as well. The only place my rubbed was on the right side at the rear of the tank. The furthurest leafspring strap was just barely toughing ,so i put a small indention in the tank. Straps go in the grooves. I just bought a new tank and I hope it fits exactly like the factory tank.

thanks for the reply. thats the exact location my spring is rubbing.. considering buying the caltracs monoleaf and trac bars for the car.. hopefully it doesn't push the *** end up in the air to much. but also you say the straps go in the grooves , then i guess i have the straps in wrong which is kinda makes me feel even more retarded lol. i need to get it all ready for the show tomorrow. once again thanks for the help:banghead:
