Any difference between Hurst Comp Plus Shifters

I am looking for a four speed shifter for my E-body. I never have been a huge fan of the pistol grip shifter and plan to put in a ball shifter.

Question: Do I really need a mopar specific comp plus shifter? I suspect that there isn't any difference. Reasoning, Hurst shifters advertised for brand x cars are much cheaper used.

Sure you can. Just have to get the correct shifting rods. Hurst probably still sells them if you can't find used ones.

Cool. I think I am going to make my own shift rods with heim ends anyway.
