any isuzu techs here?? 98 amigo 2.2

Hello, I have a 98 2.2 amigo with timing tensioner issue, per the instructions with new belt I align the pointer to the window for the NEW belt.. it took several attempts to get the mark to hold this position.. after putting about an hour on the belt... the mark stayed put.. but now its moved down to the used belt area of the tensioner.. is this normal? belt wearing in? per the instruction any belt with 60 min of run time should be in the used belt area.. I cant find any info about the 2.2.. anyone know if this is normal movement? the belt still seems tight, with little deflection..
I used a gates timing KIt, WP,idlers,tensioner and belt
