hey guys, as i mentioned, my mother in law passed away yesterday

on my fridge, there is a wallet size picture, probably all of 50 years old, that is faded and grainy

if i take a picture of it and post it here, do you think you could make it look "sharp" again ?

my wife would greatly appreciate it

thanks

Hard to get a good shot of it

Do you have access to a good scanner? A scan would be much better.

A download of a picture of a picture is next to worthless, it's the internet equivalent of the "my uncle's buddy's girlfriend's sister" story.

Get the highest quality scan you can in a format that you can e-mail to someone, and you'll get a much better result.

that is not a bad idea
i have a scanner/printer but it has been acting up
i have since hardwired it and it prints fine again, perhaps it will now also scan again

ill have to try that tomorrow

Have you check to see if there’s an update for your scanner/printer software?
Might help with the scanning.
I was having problem with old pictures found there was an software update plus I adjusted some of the scanner setting and it helped.
Hope you get the picture taken care of faded ones are tricky.

Anybody you know have a good camera? You need to get the flash/ lighting off to the side at an angle. Use a tripod. I'm sure no whiz at photohack Crop, lighten/ darken a little I'm done LOL
