anybody been asked to give Paypal more info than normal?

there are ways to make a website look EXACTLY like paypal. (or banks, etc.)

this is why you NEVER click links in supposed emails from paypal (or banks) and follow them to a website. unless you know what you are doing you could be landed on a fake website.

this is also why you ALWAYS go to paypal by opening a browser and going to www.paypal.com (same for your banks.)

if you cant remember how to type the website for paypal you should not be on the internet, or you are going to get robbed blind. you will end up having to get a new social security number, new drivers license. new bank accounts and new credit cards.
be careful

Good info.
Let me add that the legit addresses will ALWAYS include https at the beginning of the address, meaning it is a secure site.
I use the "Status Bar" quite a bit to verify the address that a link refer's to is actually the address my browser is going to go to if I click a link.
I don't necessarily click the link, but use this to show me where it would go if I did, because one can make a link say anything (it's where the link sends you that matters)
