Yeah just looked it up, 965 lbs. dry weight...!! Only 200 lbs. or so more than an all-iron 426 Hemi LOL
draginmopars that thing is SWEET. I think if I did an A-body my engine of choice would be a VW TDI out of a Passat, my brother drives an '05 I found for him and that thing is awesome. 30 MPG in town, 40-45 hwy and 247 lb-ft at 1900 RPM! Supposedly the earlier ones are easier to swap (ALH engine code is popular). They're really small and light compared to the heavy-duty American diesels and there are a few aftermarket companies out there that make parts and tuners for them.

The engines alone run on average $3,000-$4,000 used. Then, the tranny to hold up behind it is another few thousand.
