Anybody know this 1966 Barracuda?

Seen this on Facebook, I’m not the person looking but I thought I’d pass it along...not too many of these cars out there so maybe someone has seen or knows about it. Can be found on my friends FB page “Lost Muscle Cars”

That vin is registered and doesn't have a purged title in the state its in. (Means it's been plated or title changed in the last 7 years)

However, is it you looking for it or is someone trying to help a flipper find it or worse??
That story sounds pretty weak. "The person" who owned it... would be????

The previous owners are on record as well so whoever is looking should know those names ... right??

Plus, it's not actually "lost" if it's in the current owners possession.... right?

I’m not the one looking....the original owners family is looking. The Facebook page lost muscle cars was started by a good friend of mine who is also an author I’ve been a great musclecar books including a book called last muscle cars. Ha had reunited dozens of people with the cars original owners, including my dad! Many people just want to know if their old car still exists because they have original paperwork to pass on like a build sheet, fender tag or a window sticker. I know a guy that was reunited with his 67 hemi GTX that he bought when he was in Vietnam, the car was in a restoration shop and the original owner flew out to see his old car, didn’t even want to try to buy it was just happy knowing it was still out there.

Maybe the original owner sold it and the family would like to get it back, but they missed out on the chance? Maybe after the second owner passed away that family sold it without letting the other know? I’m not sure but I don’t see anything strange or fishy about someone looking for a family member’s old car.

Yea, nothing strange about it, other than invading the current owners privacy and putting them on a guilt trip.

I own a car that someone contacted me about and he had owned it in the 70s. He has a sad story about being an alcoholic and losing his job and then needed money and sold the car to a guy who was like 4 owners before me. I wasn't even born when it happened and even if I were, it's not really my problem and the car Isn't for sale.

So I know what its like to have my property beached.
If this were legit I can with help with a vin number lookup but if it's to put someone on a guilt trip about something they purchased legally then naaa. They shouldn't be creepy
