Just thinking about trying it if someone makes motor mounts, headers, etc. Thanks Chuck

I have been considering doing just that with my 6.1 DP engine.... It's just sitting in the garage since I went to the 426..... Bet I would have to re-install my wheelie bars!!!

I'm thinking about trying this with stock k member. I like what Tincup did but he put a rack on it. Measuring now but even with manual steering box I don't thing this will work. But I will keep measuring.

I am mostly finished putting a 5.7 Gen 3 in a '64 Barracuda. Acquired an early A-body 8.75", replaced axles w/4.5" B.C., hand-made rear disc brakes using 2005 Cadillac Seville rear rotors & calipers (RockAuto). Sub-frame connectors from Paddock. Using a TREMEC TKO600 w/hydraulic throwout. K-member from QA1: acquired a '67 - '69 unit, narrowed 1.5", cut off original QA1/A-body/A-motor mounts, fab'd up urethane bushing motor mounts (pretty easy) sitting as low as possible (about 1" clearance) using a Milodon center-sump pan (Summit). Acquired upper/lower control arms from CAP (now QA1), torsion bars from MOPAR Perf/Summit. Rack & Pinion 'center-steer' unit from '95 Chev. Cavalier, hand-made attachment. Used exhaust manifolds from '05 Ram 1500 (NOT 300C) & intake from same truck - 300C intake & front accessories puts alternator too low & into frame on pass-side, A/C compressor would sit low & recessed into motor mount on drivers side. Engine management from HotWire.

Anybody else put a G3 HEMI in a early A Body using stock K-member?
What tranny?
I have a 46RH laying around in hopes of putting it behind a 5.7 HEMI and stuffing them in a 65 Valiant.
