Being retired I like to keep a few snacks handy in my shop. My 71 year old sister got me hooked on tootsie pops a few months ago but honestly really only like the cherry ones. So I googled it last week and on Amazon you could buy the separate flavors. Well I got three bags of 25 on Friday so I’m set for awhile. Now they join Tootsie Rolls, fireballs, Cherry lifesaver, and other various treats. Anyone else have a secret stash. Lol

Naw I don't, but I probably need some type 2 friendly snacks. One of my favorites when I was a kid was the original Charms pops. Not the blow pops with the bubble gum, but the round flat ones. I see them every now and then in the store but walk on by, sadly.

My pops n all of his friends each have a table in their shops of pretzels chips beef jerky popcorn all kinds of crap and fridges full of beer , usually Coors Light or pacifico , corona and or whatever the hell else shelf beer they like.. oh n wine n coolers for the few women/wives who don't drink beer.
They all have guts... beer guts.
I have a 1966 pepsi long neck bottle machine that I fill with beer ..and a a Mesquite fired Weber bbq I do tri tips, ribs, salmon, chicken, hangin tenders etc and I do not have a gut or beer gut.
The most I'll bring down for snacks..are tortilla chips and salsa.
When I go to my pops n eat that crap.. I drink more n more and get **** faced and bloated. Not good to slam down a bunch of carbs and starch while drinking beer.

It'll catch up to you one day.

I keep all sorts of snacks around because the wife gets on me about not eating when I'm working. Over the last year or so, I've tried to keep healthier snacks around instead of a lot of junk. I'm doing better, but I still need my chips and Coca Cola.

I keep some packs of peanuts in my mini fridge, along with a few soft drinks. I also keep a gallon milk jug filled up with water that I guzzle pretty regularly.

I have too much junk in my 36-28 shop but I always have a case of water sitting there. I Dont like hot water but water doesn’t have to be cold for me so it’s sitting on my shop floor. In the house I keep a case on my table. I never had a cup of coffee, tea, or even a glass of ice tea.

The 9mm kidney stone in 2013 made me give up tea, but I do drink a few cups of coffee every morning. Our water here is really good, so I leave the bottled water at the tin condo at the beach...lol.

Drinking plenty of water is good for your kidney's, I know this for a fact as I'm a kidney patient.

Ya my kidney stone was doing some moving around a couple weeks ago but has been behaving itself lately

The fridge at my shop has two shelves -- one is full of bottled water and the other is full of Miller Lites. Up top I keep some small bags of chips and I think there's some beef jerky up there somewhere.

My favorite meat market is 40-45 miles from home and they have some of the best beef jerky, beef sticks, marinated steaks, I have ever had. They make meat and cheese ring baloney and sticks that are crazy good. It’s almost road trip time again a trip I make a few times a year.

That reminds me of a smoke house we have here. Delicious smoked meats, house made sausages, cheese, pickles, you name it. They also make hot sandwiches and there's usually a line out the door during lunch time. It's great to have locally owned shops that still put in the effort to craft a good product.

....there's a sign on the door saying NO CELL PHONES, and the owner WILL kick you out if he sees you on your phone. It's great.

Funny that you mentioned this because there's only one spot in each one of these guys's shops where you can even get phone service and it's not the table where they sit so they hang out undisturbed in the wives have to basically drive over to bug 'em

These are the hard to find cherry lifesavers I like. During todays trip they had two bags on the shelf so I had two bags in my cart. I got some rings to put a nicer 1 inch scope on my 22 rifle and 500 (177 pellets). I haven’t been shooting my break barrel 177 rifle as often as I like. Hopefully this will motivate me.
