anyone ever put hood springs on early A?

Anyone ever replace the torision bar hood springs on an early A with something from a newer A body or even a newer mopar? was thinking of putting plymouth acclaim hood hinges and springs on the 66 valiant (dart style) its hard to find newer A body hinges around here
