my dart has a rubber plug, no part number but reported to be orginal by the previous owner of this 2 owner car, they plug up the scoop holes. i guess car wash or rain etc. they do blow out at highway speed. wondered if they are something rare or odd. ??

I think they are for what you have stated. If its raining you pull over and plug them up, when it stop you pull over again and remove them.

P.S. I would keep them in a plastic bag in my trunk so they stay always stay with the car if you ever need them.

Never seen them before. I wonder if they were used during shipping and removed as part of the P.D.I. You would think there would be more of them out there if they were intended to be with the car. There are supposed to be gaskets in there that deflect water around the wholes but they shrink up and blow out too and would never be a seal.

I've never seen anything like those before.......I'd be really surprised if they were original.
