The only place that can make a new engine harness is Doug Evans and it's like $260. But he needs my old harness. My old harness is bare useable, everything has been cut and spliced at least once. I got another one from a junkyard car and it's had everything on the fire wall cut. The one Year One offers is for V8 models only. I could probably make one myself if I knew where to get all the correct connectors and ends. Any ideas?

If you're talking about Mr. Evans of Evans Wiring (or even if you're not), I strongly recommend his work. Last quote I had from him, a couple weeks ago, to do a similar job for my '73, was a very reasonable $115. If you're intent on making your own, realise it will be a lot more work than it sounds like, and go scrutinise pages 43 and 44 of the Terminal Supply Co catalogue.

If I may 'chime in' as it were...

I have done custom wiring for 25 + years.

$260 for a 'correct' harness build with a 'butchered' specimen
as a base is an outstanding price!

And a FABO member recommendation to boot....

Addendum, I do however concur with your desire to try and
expand your experience base...

an humble $.02 :read2:

P.s. Had occasion to deal with the folks at Terminal Supply
a few years back, they have the 60's ,70's terminal & hardshell
base covered 90%.
