anyone use a Porta spot welder?

We have a ProSpot at work. It does save a bunch of time over conventional plug welding (and the cosmetic finishing of plug welds).

It also gives a factory appearance to your welds.

It really comes down to how much you want to spend.

this is inexpensive, no water cooling, etc. just 2 cables, but against metal and pull trigger.

I have one. It works great, but I haven't used it since I finished the doing the spot welding work I had to do. So not it sits in the garage collecting dust… hmmm maybe I'll sell it…. But they do work really nice and are faster that the drilling & plug welding method.

I'd have to check the brand on it… its been covered up for a couple years… I'd sell it for $350…. cincy… is only 5.5-6hrs depending on how fast you drive. LOL… Unfortunately I'm not going to Columbus Nats…. if you go to Carlisle you'll drive right past me…
