Armrests

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anybody has tried to redo their armrests in their car. I have a 1968 Dart that have vinyl wrapped armrests that are starting to fade and crack, i dont really need them, but i would like to try to fix them myself, maybe even put something else on them besides vinyl. Has anybody tried this before?
