i ordered my head bolts from a local speed shop and i believe theyre the wrong set. theyre too short does it matter that im using a different set of heads (indy rhs) .. part number on bolt set is 144-3602 on the box it says mopar "A" engine 273-360
my block is 91 which is LA correct???

There's no problem with that, most of A and LA parts are interchangeable. That's correct bolt set.

yes, a 91 block is still an LA block, not a magnum...FWIW, the part number for the ARP bolts that brian sent me for my RHS heads is: 144-3606

on the bolt kit I got from Brian, there were 2 different lengths, 10 long, 10 short...again, PN for the bolts: 144-3606

I have that bolt kit too, but i thnk there was only 2 different lenght bolts.(10 longer and 10 shorter) i think those 10 shortest bolts should install exhaust side of the cylinder head. 5/R and 5/L. And those longer ones should install line, middle of heads........ but if there's three different bolt lenghts in your kit, please let me know that and i can go check my kit.

thanks i think thats the set i need

I tried to sell you the right kit. I also tried to sell you the thinner .030 intake gaskets you'll most likely need when your intake doesn't line up properly.
So you'll need to mill it then (read more $$$).

Mine are 144-3601, and there is three different lengths.

I'm running the Eddy RPM's, so there are four that are quite long, ten short and six medium. IIRC.

They state that they are for W-2 heads. Maybe that makes a difference?

And I also have a '91 block.

Port matching is not really neccesary with these heads. You'd have them Tuesday I think.

Ok. Well when we talked before u said the m1 intake would have to be ported. Like maddart had to do. .which is why I was asking.

You didn't say which intake you had...if you did just remember I speak to 100 people a day on avg...lol!
Yes that intake needs plenum work! It will respond favorably with the right work.

Can you double-check the numbers? You may have misread a number.

Everything I've found including the ARP catalog shows:

144-3605 - 318-360 Magnum with factory heads or Edelbrock Magnum heads

145-3606 - 383-400-413-426-440 Wedge

It appears that the Indy/RHS heads, LA-X and MA-X, would take 144-3605 since they are based on the Magnum heads, just machined differently for both applications.

The pic that Summit has is not the "actual" part because it shows 3 different lengths and it should be 2.

I agree the head bolts should be for the magnum and the magnum only use two different lengths.
