Looking for a bit of audio advise ……
I’m wanting to add some tunes to the boat in the form of a cooler. Not wanting to use a head unit just speakers ,amp and a MP3.
I would be mounting the amp and battery inside the cooler with the speakers through the outside of the cooler.
Amp
• 4-Channel Full Range Class D Marine Amplifier
• RMS Power Rating:
o 4 ohms: 100 watts x 4 chan.
o 2 ohms: 150 watts x 4 chan.
o Bridged, 4 ohms: 300 watts x 2 chan.

Speakers

• 8" 2-Way Full-Range Rockford Fosgate M2 Series Marine Coaxial Speakers
• Power Handling:
o Peak: 400 watts per pair / 200 watts each
o RMS: 200 watts per pair / 100 watts each 4 ohms

Is this a good match up?
Not really looking for dope boy loud ……. just crisp decent sound.
Would a MP3 be sufficient instead of a head unit?
Any input appreciated.
