OK guys all I can afford for my 340 Dart is one or the other distributor . Which one would you choose , hopefully by experience . Thank you .

x3 here,

Pop of the cap & rotor, grab the shaft and push around a concentric circle
with the outside of the dist cap mount.

There will always be some movement! the amount of same is Your build
dependent... NOTE HERE!! MULTIPLY THE "FINGER DIAL INDICATOR" reading
by 2. (lots of 'top movement' = lots of wear in the block bushing).

Vacuum gauge on the advance port, ck ' breaker' (lol, datin meself, lol) plate movement.

Transition should be 'smooth' (read asynchronous) with applied &
released vacuum.

If good... then good!! . AND COST EFFECTIVE!!

Over the years I have done 'oillite' bronze bushing installs,
heat treated shafts, cryotreated shafts, custom teflon buttons
on the 'advance' plate , ...bla,bla,bla.

All (imho) a waste of time.

Preface---comment below--- 'stock or mild output level'.
MaMopar did not skimp on the factory engineering of these distributors.
Matter of fact most of the failures I have seen (over 35 yrs), were related to lack of oil changes.
My humble $.02
