I installed my AutoMeter 5 inch Sport Comp 2 with shift light tach and it isn't working. I wired it according to AutoMeter & MSD instructions. My MSD is a digital 6AL #6425.. I wired the red tach wire to a switched 12V in the fuse box. Ran the black to a good ground. White wire is connected at the fuse box to the dash lights. Connected the green tach wire to the gray MSD wire for tach. When I turn on the switch the pointer jumps a little indicating its getting power. When I push the red button on the tach for the shift light the pointer rotates back to zero like it should and the shift light works..But when I crank the car the tach stays on zero.. Have I wired something wrong? Has anyone else ran into this same problem?
