Just imagine how loud that was. That thing looked to be so low that the prop couldn't have been more than a few feet above the ground until it got close to them. Amazing.

Dave, enjoyed the videos. Back in the early to mid sixties mom would let me sit in the car while she was in the commissary shopping at Mayport Naval Base and I'd go over to the far side fence next to the runway and scream as loud as I could as the planes and jets took off. I've known many navy pilots. You always have a rush when you get in one. Nothing like a jet blowing by you at mach one-plus.
