Axel seal help for my 62 Dodge Lancer

Thanks, you were spot on. When I pulled the axle I found a sealed single row ball bearing. The inner seal was damaged when they pressed it in so I think it was leaking at it’s seat. Also there was no gasket or sealant for the bearing retainer, and the drain hole under the bearing retainer had been thoroughly plugged with undercoating. I kept the bearing, although the bearing collar was missing and got a new/old stock seal from Oldmoparts, sealed the plate and put her back together. No more leak!
