axle question

With aftermarket sealed ball bearings, green or otherwise, you can either leave the inner seal in, or remove it. If you remove it you rely on the seal that is part of the sealed bearing to keep the diff lube from washing the grease out of the bearing. Note that the seals on the bearings are designed to keep their grease in, not to keep outside lube out. I would recommend still using the inner seals in the housing for this reason. Did the axles you pulled already have ball bearings? How loose were they?

they were pretty loose. had a lot of play when I rotated them. felt like they had some rough spots on them. could have been where the slight vibration was.
