axle trust button

What does this button look like! Put a SG 323 8.75 in my car and got the pig from a guy and I don't think it is in there because I have too much play in the axles and can't tighten them! I look inside the shaft and there is a little hole where I think it goes and I can see though there so I think its missing! Little help FABO!

On the clutch type there are 2 thrust buttons/spacer. 1 on each side of the thrust block.
