18x8 wheels up front, should I go 4.5 bs or 5? Going to run 235/40/18 tires.

Thanks!

Sorry if this has been answered before... All these offset and back spacing numbers has my head spinning big time! :banghead:

My 17x8's have zero offset which is 4 inches of back space. The tire size is 255x45x17.

I'm running a 18X9 and have 6"+/- back space. With the 73+ disk brakes and the 11-3/4" rotors.

If it was me I would get the 5" backspace can't go wrong there with an 18" rim IMO. The 4.5"B.S. is going to be getting close to the fender lip maybe even sticking out a bit.

I run a 17x8 with 4.5BS, 225/40-17 front. When I had the 17x8 with 4.75BS I had a 245/40-17 front tire. I'd go with a 4.75 or 5" BS for an 8" wide wheel.

run 5" backspacing. That is a tall tire setup that will rub the fender lip if it sticks out (less backspacing) too much.

What size front tires do you have on that?

5" backspace would be the minimum, 5.5" would be better.

18x8.75 wheels
6.25" backspace
+35 offset
245/40x18 front
255/40x18 rear

no rubs!
