I was going through my parts last night and I noticed the weld at the back end of the drive shaft looked like my ten year old welded it...
Is this a normal thing? The car was a basket case when I got it, but the shaft was bolted up and in place. This Duster is a factory 318/904/8.25 car.
This is the only pic I have. Any thoughts

It was shortened the easy way at some point. After shortening a drive shaft the right way, which means grinding out the seam closest to the yolk, pulling it off, cutting it down, aligning the yolk to the other one and re-welding it. It doesn't get any easier! Plus you don't have to worry about balancing, especially if you cut off the end that doesn't have the weight.

I will never again shell out $200 for some jackass to cut my junk down...

Go over it again and grind it down, f88k it.
