Hello All,

I recently replaced my old tank with a new one that I purchased from Yearone and notice fairly quickly that I'm getting gas starvation symptom on left hand turns. After quite a bit of trouble shooting, I've come to the conclusion that there is no baffle sump in the tank which seems to be causing this problem... Has anyone experience this problem and if so what did you do.. My mechanic friend has advise me to get a new tank or modify my existing one with a baffle.. Is it normal to buy a tank without a baffle sump? Does anyone have suggestions on what to do?

Thanks for your help!

I don't think any of them were baffled, at least I have not seen one.

What carb do you run?

Hey Bruce,

I'm using the stock Holly 1920 which was rebuilt less than a year ago, then shortly after the tank was replaced.

Thanks for your help.

OK, are you sure the sending unit is in with the sock closest to the tank floor?

Just to clarify, it was not doing this before you changed the tank??

Regarding the sending unit, I'm pretty sure but I could check it again when the tank is empty.
and no, it was not doing this before changing the tank.

Thanks for you help
