Is there a difference in the size I installed a hotschis suspension in my dart with 5x4 and had to reem out to fit the ball joint if I convert to big pattern will I have to reem again or did the big pattern have a large ball joint

Check to see if the ball joint Hotchkis uses is the same as the 1973 and later disc brake Dart/Duster/Valiant/Scamp. Moog K772 is a pretty standard aftermarket part number. If they use that, you won't need to ream.
If you had to ream the spindle with the 5x4” brakes and you swap to the later spindles that have the 5x4.5” pattern brakes you will not need to ream those spindles unless you’re not running A-body ball joints.
If you reamd it to large ball joint size, there are tapered shims you can get to revert back to small ball joint.
