I am converting my 1967 barracuda convertible from an automatic to a 4 speed manual transmission. I have gathered most of the parts, but I am wondering where to locate the bracket on my car that attaches the Z-bar ball stud to the frame.

I would like to determine this before I paint the engine compartment, not after I install the engine and transmission.

Does anyon have any suggestions??

PS: I am willing to travel a little ways from SoMd to take measurements off of someone else's car!

If you look in the fender well you will see the hole were the ball stud mounts too by the frame. You will also need the bracket available from Brewers tack welded to the frame were the hole is. This supports the ball stud. Otherwise you would be mounting it to sheet metal.
