I dont post much, figured I would post up some pictures of the barn I put in my backyard during the mess last year.

Took me 6 real months to do, I had a boom lift and later a man lift after I set the trusses, but I mostly did it myself with help from friends at times. Came out pretty cool. Considering Ive hardly built anything like this.

Ive been working on my 65 Valiant Signet convertible, getting it back on the road. Its been nice having a house for it

Yep, as I figured, it’s too small already, but aren’t they all. Nice looking little nest you got there, I think it’ll work out just fine!

I did much the same as you, built it all by myself. Had some friends help when I needed it, but they mostly just came for the day and left. I don’t mind, I’m pretty picky!

I did a 30 x 40 with a 12 foot top plate and scissor trusses for max ceiling height, in hindsight aI should have went 35 x 40 so I could put two cars nose to tail. But no matter what, they are always too small

It's a lotta work, but very satisfying when done.
Well done!

I did the same, just my wife and I. From the first shovel of dirt to the last roofing nail. Two years and too many distractions along the way.

Toughest part was building the silo/office (every barn needs a silo, right?). Word to the wise: Don't EVER try to build anything round.

:) for years....I said the same thing

There's only one problem I can see with your barn....It's not in my backyard! LOL !

Great job!
