Can anybody tell me which car would have the bigger rear wells as they come from the factory, i forgot to tell the year. I'm in reference to 68, 69, Darts and fastback Barracuda's. I,m wondering how much screwing around there would be to mounting 9 X 30 slicks as in stock eliminator car.8) John Lang #365SS, C/SA. Thanks............

Barracudas have much more room for tires then Darts do.

Heres a picture of a Barracuda with a 30X10.5 (315-60-15) in the stock wheel well.

Adam, do you have a picture from the rear (running straight down one side)? I am curious to see how much sidewall is sticking out. Do you by any chance know the backspacing used on this particular application?

I`m able to run a 275/60-15 on my 68 Barracuda without modifications to the wheelwells. The area where you might encounter some problem is the front of the wheelwell. There may be an issue with fitting a tire in there that`s 30" in diameter. My 275/60`s are 28.5 inches in diameter and are very close.

I think the rims were 15X10s with a 4.5" backspacing but they may be 4-7/8" backsoacing.

Heres my old Barracuda with a 15X8.5" rim, 325-50-15s (13.5" section width) in the stock wheel well.
