barracuda drive shaft

I am working on my 69 cuda, I have switched the drive train to a 727 w/ 8.75 rear. I was wondering if anyone could give me a measurement on their drive shaft length with this combination. I have one to shorten, thought I might get some good info from you guys. Thanks Tom

44.88 is what the FSM says for your setup.
When I did mine I used the FSM as a starting point, but still measured to make sure (sorry can't remember length). Go to http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/html/how_to_measure.html
or any other driveshaft website and use their forms to measure it for correct length. A 1/4 inch is no big deal, but 1/2 or more can be.

We installed an 8 3/4 rearend in my '67 Barracuda last fall. This spring we put in 340/727 combo. We measured on Saturday morning and from the cup in the center section yoke to the tail of the tranny is 4' 2".
