Hi Guys!

I want to upgrade my carburator on my 66 Barracuda 273cui because he is leaking.
Current version is a 2bb Carter with heat coil choke.

The setup I prefer is an Edelbrock Performer Intake 2176 and an Edelbrock Performer Carb. 1403.
The new carb would be electric choke, can I expect problems because the old has an heat coil choke.
Do I need other parts for the conversion?

Ask for your honest opinion, is this a good combination?
I expect good driveability, no Horsepower wonder.

Thanks in advance
Bani

I had a Carter AFB w/electric choke for a while and found that the choke really didn't work right. Maybe it was because it was a rebuilt carb, idk. I ended up just putting a manual choke cable on it.

The 1403 has an electric choke and should work fine when wired correctly. Have a 1406 electric choke carb on my 318 and it works pretty well.

As for if the 2176 intake, I do not believe it will fit your 66 273. Maybe someone with more knowledge on 273's will chime in.
