The fold down panel in a 65 barracuda the one that separates the trunk from passenger compartment . What's that called mine is missing. Is there a place that sells them or do y'all just make your own. Also how dose it stay up when you want it shut.

Its called a "trunk divider"....There are two latches that you pull down to open, then push up to close. They are accessed from the trunk compartment. It is made of wood / particle board and covered with carpet on the interior side portion, the trunk side is painted black. They are not reproduced. With a bit a skill and time you could can make one. Unusual that you are missing yours which means if you find a junker being parted it probably still has it inside. If I get time later I'll post some pics.

Would you happen to know how thick it is and dose anyone have pictures of the latches that hold it in place

About 3/4" - 1" thick. Also has metal trim that goes over the top portion.

Don't believe so...If my memory is right...the divider can only fold backward into the trunk. It can't go forward because when it is in the closed position it is secured against the rear window frame

I have all of the parts to make one, including the latches, piano hinge, perimeter trim, the fold down bumpers, everything!! I also have this complete door if you need one to make a template, looks to be 1/2" 5 ply plywood! Message if you need any stuff!!
