base for Commando 273 Air cleaner

I am trying to mount my Commando 273 on an Edelbrock Preformer 600 cfm carb- hole in base is to small- Anyone have a base that will work with carb and air cleaner? Thanks

is it 5 " just had a couple made for my crossram i would need ur base and 100.00 my base is 5" and powdercoated black

Its not correct but I run a cheap aftermarket base from a chrome aircleaner. I use a filter from a slant 6 for better air intake.

Yup, a cheapy aftermarket chrome base will work. Only difference is that it will not be a drop base so you will need a shorter air filter to keep the same overall height.

That ship has already sailed ... if you want to be picky about it, the new carb with bigger throat diameter is already "not correct". I did the same thing and opted for an inexpensive Mr Gasket air cleaner base. It worked just fine and you really couldn't tell the difference once the top was on. But, I'm cheap ;)
