BB Abody oil pan question

What makes an original oil pan out of a BB Abody so different. Can any other oil pan work w/ the fast ratio steering ?

What makes an original oil pan out of a BB Abody so different. Can any other oil pan work w/ the fast ratio steering ?

The numbers and internal baffles, Most pans will work with the 67 and 68 BB idler and pitman arm, not sure about 69. Newer steering linkage will need the "notched" OEM pan.
