Could someone measure the diameter of there BB Rocker shaft for me?
I'm wondering if the Rocker spacers for BB and SB will interchange? I found springs, and they looked pretty much the same.

Thanks!

Well on my SB I got .871. Thats just a hair off. I think the BB spacers should work!

Thanks!

Thanks a lot guys! I think this will work! Something for you guess to keep in mind to for future reference!
Just out of curiosity, what is the length of the rocker arms?

Thanks!

The stamped rocker for my 360 (1976) was 3.141 and the stamped rocker for my 383 (1968) is 3.304. Now because these are stamped the tolerances likely vary a bit maybe even between the left and right stampings... I didnt check but I can if you like.

*These are no scientific measurments just rough length measure but hope they help answer your question.

I kind of meant the length of the rocker shafts... Sorry.

Yea, I just pulled off my stock rockers, and when checking the pre load I noticed the play on the stock rockers are just awful. It's hard to find the preload because each rocker has a bit different play. Because I am a poor boy right now I just bought those Crane Iron Ductile Rockers... and the play is gone. It was so much easier finding the pre-load with those, and each rocker didn't vary so much. I was thinking it was each valve that was that far off, and I was getting concerned. Here it was the stock rockers that caused the variance.

Stock rockers are supposed to be really good.. maybe another issue? bad springs?
