I'd like to upgrade to bbp on my 64 with the stock 225.

I bought a 7.25 bbp sure grip unit that has the springs and brakes. I found out there is no replacement parts for the sure grip so it may not be worth messing with.

My next option would be to get a 7.25 without sure grip bbp.

I've also read that the 8.25 bbp would be the way to go but I would need to cut down my drive shaft.

I just found a 8.25 bbp sure grip unit but it doesn't look like it has the springs or brakes.

I'm basically looking for the easiest upgrade.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

i would use the 8 1/4. there is thread here somewhere for the driveshaft length. im pretty sure you need to wack 1 1/4 out of it for the 8 1/4. i just had 4 inches taken out of my shaft and it was 65 bucks for the cut, spin balance and new U joints, and it was done the same day.Depending on what the 8 1/4 is out of ,you may need to move the perches.

Thanks for the advice! I'll search for the thread you mentioned.

Sounds like the 8 1/4 also has better parts support.
