bearing ware

[70wayfarer]

hurt a couple of pistons recently. when i stripped engine down i found ware on all 8 big end bearings. they are clevite. engine is 440/493 stroker. crank journals are all fine. engine only done 500 street miles, ten 1/8 mile passes and four 1/4 mile passes. when you look at the tangs they don't seem to be very well formed.
