I am thinking of going to bucket seats in my 67 barracuda but the original seat is a bench. What do I need to do to convert?

I am doing the same in a 73' Duster. Looking forward to some great info

find some seats... if you use original style 60s seats that went in then you will simply need to pull up your carpet and locate the dimples in the floor where the other 2 bolts for the seats go through, drill holes, sit seats in and bolt in.

if you use seats from another year or after market you may find yourself making custom seat brackets.

The factory bucket cars will have reinforcing plates on the 4 inside seat bracket holes in the floor. They`re about 1/8 x 3 x 3. If I get to my computer that has my pictures on it , I`ll post some so you can see what I mean.

Here`s what I was referring to, you can see the plates over the inner seat bracket holes. In between the seat bracket bolts and the floor there should be spacers about 1/2" thick and 1.5" in diameter.
