Best 1 barrel?

In your guys opinion what is the best 1 barrel carb for a 225 /6? Im looking for reliability mostly. Power or economy. Or would it be best to save and switch to a 2barrel? Which 1? Also ive heard that parts stores carbs are no good? What kind of issues have you ran into with them? Where would you suggest picking 1 up at? Thanks in advance for the help.

I would lean towards a Holley 1920.

I think the carter BBS is a more durable carb than the 1920 but gets less gas mileage. I have had both on a slant and I preferred the Carter. Many to choose from when you get to 2 barrels. For a while I ran a bbd on a super six intake. It was good also.

Thanks guys. I guess ill make a choise between those 2. Atleast i know not to get the 1945.
