Watching a story about an Americal bomber crew member who was down in Belgium in WWII. He was traveling through the country with help of some churches and "the underground"
He said they taught him how to steal bikes, LOL and he became "the best bike thief in Germany."
He says in the morning, German woman would come to the shops for groceries, and the last thing they did was go to the bakery. He said that they usually took some 10 minutes to get in and out. So you wait, give "her" a few minutes, and take the bike!!! he claims to have stolen A HUNDRED AND FIFTY NINE bikes!!!
He was involved with the French underground resistance for a time, and finally he headed for Switzerland
